Sarcasm, Inc was founded on three core beliefs:
- People will, from time to time, be sarcastic.
- They need a way to write and punctuate it.
- For centuries, questions and exclamations have had their own punctuation marks. It’s time that sarcasm is treated equally!
I don’t claim to be a grammar expert, but I do know this: Verbal questions, exclamations, and even sarcasm can be detected by a person’s tone, inflection, and volume. Written questions and exclamations have their own punctuation marks, sarcasm does not. The SarcMark is a solution to that problem. And, if I should say so myself, a cleverly simplistic approach to a very challenging problem
A Word about Sarcasm
If you were to search the internet on the topic of sarcasm you would probably find a couple of views on the subject. Some people believe we shouldn’t be sarcastic. I even saw sarcasm referred to as “the lowest form of wit”. My belief is that those people don’t know how to take a joke. Let’s face it, sarcasm is here to stay. So why not make sure that it’s understood and communicated properly?
Sarcasm, Inc. and all its employees embrace sarcasm, we promote sarcasm, and we want everyone to get it.
